Your AI Guide to Risk and Return: Don't Just Watch the Markets, Interrogate Them

+ The QGRW ETF & Several GenAI Jobs of Interest

Welcome back to AI in Investment Research & Finance, your weekly briefing on how targeted Artificial Intelligence (AI) prompts can uncover sharper, more actionable insights.

Table of Contents

In previous editions, we’ve explored how AI can support research across topics like value investing, macro trends and exchange-traded fund (ETF) strategies, featuring funds such as MOAT, SPLV, JEPI, GLD, BITO, EDOG and AIQ. We’ve also shown how fund marketers and analysts can use large language models (LLMs) to produce compelling, data-driven content.

This week, we turn to how AI can help decode the ripple effects of economic and geopolitical disruption, from oil prices and crypto sentiment to real estate and fund correlations.

According to Charles Schwab’s 2025 Mid-Year Outlook, investors face a challenging environment marked by persistent inflation, policy uncertainty and heightened volatility. The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has also warned that major geopolitical events, including regional conflicts and tariff escalation, are increasingly triggering sudden asset repricing across equities, commodities, and fixed income markets. Meanwhile, Reuters reports that oil prices continue to swing sharply in response to Middle East tensions, despite no confirmed long-term supply shock.

Given this uncertain backdrop, AI-driven analysis offers a powerful advantage, and help investors uncover hidden risks, detect style drift and build potentially more resilient portfolios.

Sample AI Prompts for Further Exploration

To build on this week’s focus, we’ve put together six practical prompts designed to help you experiment with multi-asset AI analysis, from commodities and crypto to property yields and alpha generation.
